Reshamca LLC was organized and founded in 1981 by Rex Smith, a career die designer, process engineer, and corporate automotive supplier sales and marketing executive, with broad global experience in the world’s major industrial markets. Over the past 25 years, Mr. Smith has invested in, and held upper level management positions at; Stamtec, Inc., a manufacturer of stamped and cast mechanical products; Comcorp Technologies, Inc., a global manufacturer of automotive pedals, pedal assemblies, electronic throttle controls and adjustable pedals; Teleflex Automotive, a global manufacturer of cables, pedals and shifter control systems; Wabash Technologies, Inc., a manufacturer of sensors.
Reshamca LLC continues to focus a major part of their activities in foundry projects and providing the engineering services to the global foundry industry. Technical support for these activities is headed by Robert J. Bend, Reshamca Technical Director.
Mr. Bend has more than 30 years of experience in the metal casting industry developing and launching new casting technologies. His experience includes the development of technology for high production casting of cylinder blocks and heads. Mr. Bend has served as senior development engineer for Cosworth Research & Development in the UK; senior process design engineer of Nemak in Mexico; and technical support manager for TEI Inc, a Michigan-based manufacturer of foundry tooling. He holds a degree in Foundry Technology from the University of Coventry in the UK.
